SCS August Show - Worthing Rugby Club, Angmering, West Sussex, - 18th August 2024(Your webmaster's thanks go to James Wright who has provided the excellent photos.) SCS Charity Show - Leonardslee Gardens, Lower Beeding, West Sussex, - 23rd June 2024Leonardslee Gardens Charity Event 2024 What a fantastic setting Leonardslee Gardens is for our Yearly Charity event, this year in aid of the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA). Thank you all for your support and we are pleased to say that the event raised a good amount for MNDA. The total will be announced at the AGM in October. The show was very well attended and it was good to see such an interesting array of vehicles. Leonardslee Gardens presented Southern Classics with some of its own wine and a voucher for 4 to visit the gardens worth £45, which was raffled separately from the usual raffle. As ever the Wallabies drew our attention together with the beautiful gardens, the dolls house and indeed the restaurant. How lucky are we to have such a lovely venue at our disposal. We would like to thank everyone who brought their lovely vehicles; there was something for everyone. Thank you to all the helpers, volunteers and organisers. Thank you to Leonardslee for allowing us to hold our charity event in such a beautiful setting. SCS May Show - The Lavender Line, Isfield, - 19th May 2024Lavender Line Classic Car Show by Barbara Albon Newsletter Editor It was a good day (that means no rain) and plenty of cars turned up for the first show of the year. It was good to catch up with old friends and meet new ones. The trains were running and many of the visitors took advantage of this and enjoyed a trip down memory lane. The owners of The Laughing Fox public house at the entrance to the show ground offered a meal for two. This was auctioned for our Charity this year, the Motor Neurone Disease Association, and Peter Broom won the Silent Auction with a generous bid of £40.00.
